Soteria Medical B.V. is a Spin Off from Radboudumc in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
Many years of development and clinical research have resulted in a new approach to perform MRI guided interventions by utilizing a robotic device, which is fully MR-compatible and allows real time positioning in the MR scanner.
The scope of the company is the development, production and sales of medical devices and instruments - specifically in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and MRI guided interventions. Soteria’s initial product is a robotic manipulator for MRI guided prostate biopsies and interventions - utilizing a newly developed and patented motor principle.
The innovations of the company will benefit patients worldwide, especially patients with early stage prostate cancer, who have not received sufficient diagnosis with the current standard of care.
As a production engineer you are responsible for the assembly of parts of the total system. As an ISO 13485 certified company these steps will be monitored and registered. During assembly component testing will be crucial for the correct functioning of the complete system. A final product test will be performed before release of the system to the customer.
The majority of the parts require a fine mechanical background with high quality plastic parts. For the control unit of the system some electronical background would be preferred.
Depending on the installation agreement the system will require a yearly maintenance. As the service engineer you will be responsible for exchange of the system and correctly registering the system as well as the performed maintenance tasks. Occasionally this will require an on-site follow up to check the control unit as well as the optional components.
- We are looking for a LBO/MBO mechanical engineer with affinity with fine mechanical assemblies.
- Good proficiency in English (written and verbal) and good social skills.
- The ability to follow instruction manuals and high accuracy.
- Able to work in a team as well as independent.
- Ability to repair assembled equipment according to engineering specifications
